It's Official!

She was great at breakfast and great on the bus. She sat on Wenguo's lap and looked out the window and Wenguo got her to smile when a young girl on a bus that was right next to us waved and Wenguo showed Shuya how to wave and say "Ni Hao!".
This made Wenguo very happy!

At Registration the first thing they wanted us to do was take a family photo. Shuya did not want to be held the way they wanted us to hold her for the photo and screamed and screamed. The Director of Shuya's orphange held her and she took a nap while all of the families Registered. Then we put her in the Snugli harness and she was fine, so we finally got a good family photo for the Registration process.

We are back for a nap - (Baba needs a nap!) Shuya napped all the way back on the bus in Baba's arms. ;-)

We will go shopping with the group at a department store at 3:30 and then we will all go out for dinner. I am sure we'll have more pictures soon!

Sounds like you are doing great, Wenguo and Dan! You are making Shuya's transition a very smooth one. No worry about the occasional crying or screaming. That is a part of Shuya's job:-) All toddlers need to do that once in a while, right? She is a wonderful baby! Good eater, good sleeper. It will make everything else much easier. Can’t wait to see more pictures of all of you…

We finally got to see the pictures and update from your meeting day!! She is just gorgeous, and I'm so glad she is adjusting well and allowing both of you to hold her. Congratulations! Can't wait to see more pictures and updates, and especially to meet her in person :) Enjoy!

We are so thrilled for both of you! I can't tell you how happy this makes me! I'm logging on every day to see what is happening.
What a fascinating process. You are bonding with each other very well. The fact that she is eating and sleeping so well all ready means that she is very comfortable
with you. Great job! You're going
to be excellent parents! CZ

Again, you are making this look way too easy. She eats, she sleeps, she lets both parents hold her- unbelievable. I know you're enjoying every moment with her in China. You'll miss these days in China when you return, but all of you will adjust beautifully.
